Porsche Readies for New Macan Debut

Published by PGI Auto on June 14th, 2013

The Porsche Macan is a small SUV concept that has been in the works for Porsche for some time.  Though it was never clear if the Porsche SUV in Bellevue would make a debut in the U.S., or anywhere in the world for that matter, it has now been announced that the Porsche Macan will make its official debut in November during the 2013 LA Auto Show.  Porsche should offer the Macan around $54,000, according to Auto Express.

Those who have predicted the Macan will be too similar to the likes of the Q5 will be pleasantly surprised.  The Macan will weigh nearly 300 pounds less than the Q5 while also feature Porsche engine options, upgraded suspension, and unique interior architecture and style.  As far as the limited information and images provide, the interior of the Macan looks more like the interior of the new Porsche 911, just in small SUV size.

The Macan is expected to hit showrooms in the spring of 2014, though whether that is in the U.S. or just in Europe, is yet unannounced.
