Wider and lighter, just the way we like our sports cars.  The 2013 Porsche Boxster will have a 6 inch larger wheelbase and be about 77 pounds lighter.

Other improvements include fuel economy, the wheel size, Electric Power Steering, a new seven-speed transmission and a new engine.  The standard Boxster will have a 2.7 liter 6 cylinder engine providing 265HP which will get you to 60mph in 5.4 seconds.  The Boxster S will get you 60 more HP bringing it up to 315HP and getting you to 60 mph in 4.7 seconds.

The body of the new Boxster has a fresher look and design as well.  Deeper scoops and longer lines exentuate the sportiness of the car, as do the elongated headlights and small spoiler in the rear.  Inside the Boxster there’s a wide center console that is reminiscent of the Carrera GT with its sleek and sporty design.
