The Porsche 918 Spyder concept, which was first seen in 2010, received such a large amount of positive response, that the auto manufacturer decided to go ahead with a production version of the sports car.  Now, that production version is being debuted at the Goodwood Festival of Speed, happening now.

The 918 Spyder concept will be powered by a powerful 4.6 liter V8 engine and paired to two electric motors.  One motor is placed on each axle, and boosts the horsepower output to a whopping 759.  The motors can be charged with plug-in electricity, a process that helps with fuel efficiency and lowers CO2 emissions.  Therefore, not only do you get a supercar that can get to 62 MPH in 3.2 seconds and tops out at 199 MPH, but you also experience 94 MPG and just 70 g/km of CO2.

Porsche has told automotive media to expect the 918 Spyder to go on sale around November of 2013, giving them plenty of time to perfect the technology and optimize engine output.
